I really enjoyed reading...Thanks for sharing this. I really enjoyed reading it and getting thoughts provoked. I read that article about AGS and their stand at the time and discussed it on Twitter with a variety of people for and questionable about MLEs. AGS is a fairly traditional school with a very traditional Old Boys network and focus on appearances, and I can see why they would be reluctant to tread in that direction. I personally approach MLEs with caution, and with concern for children with special needs such as Autism, ADHD, dyslexia, global delays, FAS, etc, and how they impact on them and individual teachers. Therefore I would like to see schools provide options for the type of classes children and teachers will work best in. We need to cater to the needs of the child and the teacher.melulaterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00912265739435105092noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5017546676108501997.post-27090824059556530882015-05-19T20:17:35.220+12:002015-05-19T20:17:35.220+12:00Pō marie Annemarie
Thanks for reflecting and shar...Pō marie Annemarie

Thanks for reflecting and sharing this. A great reminder for us to model the vision of the NZ Curriculum.

#EducampNZ is a superb way of having educators connect, and visibly take risks. Standing up in a room of your peers, sharing and presenting your pedagogy (warts and all) is no mean feat.

There is inherent value in the honesty of these teachers. Sharing allows everyone to learn from their trials, successes and mistakes.

I agree, it's not about celebrity. It's about the kids, and there are some lucky ones out there with these teachers as their role models.

Thanks for your support. #EducampHB would not be the same without you, Aunty.

Ngā mihi nui

Juliet Revellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08967558477528912081noreply@blogger.com
